FELLOWSHIPS AND AWARDS

Mrs. Phoolan Devi Gupta Traveling Fellowship
This award is for a young person interested in gaining experience by working in a recognized Burn Unit. Candidate selected will get Rs.10,000/- and a certificate. Applicant should be below 40 years of age. He/She should be working in a peripheral hospital not having a burn unit but having interest in burn care. He/she should submit a letter of acceptance form the burn unit where training is sought. Minimum period of training is 4 weeks. Application should reach the Secretary, National Academy of Burns (INDIA) by 31st December 2005.

The award for 2003 has been awarded to Dr. Rajat Soni from Hissar.
No one had applied for the year 2004.

Mrs. Phoolan Devi Gupta Award for outstanding Work in any field of Burns
This award is given by Nomination only. It will be given to a person who has significantly added to the knowledge to burn care Nationally. Members of the Executive can send in the nomination for any individual giving full details with specific contributions, which entitle the person for the award. This award consists of Rs.5,000/-, a certificate and a plaque. Nominations should reach the Secretary, National Academy of Burns (India) by 31st December 2005.

Prof. S.K.Bhatnagar was nominated for the Award in 2004.

NABI Best Paper Award
From the papers presented at the annual conference of the National Academy of Burns (India), the one that is adjudged the "Best Paper" will be given this award.
The award consists of Rs.1,500/- along with a certificate.
